Trying on clothes

Tuttu kuvio: tyttönä kaupungilla, tällä kertaa yksin. Asu oli melkein sama kuin viimeksi, mutta tällä kertaa jalassa oli mukavuussyistä balleriinat. Ajattelin katsoa itselleni ainakin housuja, joten menin H&M:ään.

As a girl in the city, as usual. Alone this time. The outfit was nearly the same as last time but this time I was wearing ballerinas for comfort reasons. I intended to find some trousers so I went to H&M.

Sovitin tällaista mekkoa. Ihan söpö, mutta enpä tiedä... / This dress didn't feel that exciting.

Kultaiset housut! Tämä on ensimmäinen kerta, kun näette minut housullisena. Mitä pidätte?

Golden trousers! This is the first time you see me wearing trousers. What do you think?

Sellainen ostosreissu tällä kertaa! Kävin parissa muussakin kaupassa, mutta en ostanut mitään, koska tällä hetkellä kaupoista en vain tunnu löytävän makuuni sopivaa tyttömäistä tai naisellista vaatetta. (On muuten hassua, miten peruukin väri vaihtelee valaistuksesta riippuen.)

This concludes my shopping trip. I also visited a few other shops but I didn't buy anything as there just doesn't appear to be anything on sale that would fit my tastes in its girlyness. (By the way, it's funny how the color of the wig changes with lightning.)

Sorbet with friends!

Eilen näin ihania kavereitani Amandaa ja Tiiaa! Ensin Amanda meikkasi minut ja Tiia kuvasi tapahtuman videokamerallani. En keksinyt ollenkaan, mitä laittaisin päälleni, joten tytöt kokosivat minulle ihanan asun. Pääsin mm. käyttämään uutta villapaitaani, jonka luulin aluksi olleen virheostos, mutta joka osoittautuikin aika ihanaksi! Sitten menimme Gina Tricotin kautta kahvila Ciao!:oon. Minä ja Amanda otimme vihreän omenan ja mustikan makuista sorbettia (tosi hyvää!) ja Tiia croissanttia.

Yesterday I saw my lovely friends Amanda and Tiia! First Amanda did my makeup and Tiia recorded it with my video camera. I couldn't make up my mind about what to wear, so the girls coordinated a lovely outfit for me. I got to use my new purple jumper which I first thought to have been a bad buy but which proved to be quite lovely! Then we quickly visited Gina Tricot on our way to café Ciao! There me and Amanda ordered two great flavours of sorbet (green apple and blueberry) and Tiia ate a croissant.

Muuten, blogini on uuden headerin / bannerin tarpeessa. Nyt kun olen pitänyt blogia jo 7½ kuukautta ja kuvia minusta on kertynyt jo aika lailla, olisi varmaan korkea aika saada banneri, jossa näyn ihan itsekin :). Olen vain itse kovin huono tekemään mitään. Jos siis jollain on kokemusta söpöjen bannerien tekemisestä, ottaisin mielelläni apua vastaan (sähköpostiosoite sivupalkissa) :).

By the way, my blog is in need of a new header / banner. Now that I've been blogging for about seven and a half months and I there are quite a few pictures of me already, I think it's about time to get a new banner where I'd be present myself :). The thing is, I'm really bad at these kinds of things. If some of you have experience in making cute banners, I'd be so glad if you helped me (my email address is in the side bar) :).

Tracon

Viime viikonloppuna Tampereella pidetty anime- ja roolipelitapahtuma Tracon oli minulle hieno tilaisuus päästä käyttämään Tokiosta juuri ostettuja vaatteita. Koko asu (laukkua ja pantaa lukuunottamatta) onkin ostettu Japanin-matkalla: peruukki, mekko, sukat ja kengät ovat Bodylinen kaupasta Harajukusta ja rannekoristeet, mekkoon conin aikana kiinnitetyt pinkit rusetit sekä koru on ostettu Shinjukun Closet Childista. Vaikka asussani ei ole juuri mitään kuuluisien brändien vaatteita, on se mielestäni silti aika söpö :).

The anime convention Tracon (which was held last weekend ion Tampere was a good opportunity for me to wear the clothes I had bought during my trip to Tokyo. The whole outfit, excluding bag and headdress, has been bought there: wig, dress, socks and shoes are from Bodyline Harajuku and wriscuffs, necklace and pink ribbons in the dress from Closet Child Shinjuku. Even though my outfit doesn't include any clothes from famous brands, I think it's still rather cute :).

Junassa matkalla Traconiin. Myös ripseni, Diamond Lashit (Angel eye), ovat Japanista. Jossain vaiheessa ohitseni kulki muita conikävijöitä, joista yksi huudahti kavereilleen: "Tos oli lolita! Sil oli tosi upee hame!" Kuten aina tällaisen kommentin kuullessani, hykertelin ilosta. Tuskin edes tajusivat minua pojaksi ♥!

In train on my way to Tracon. My lashes, Diamond Lashes (Angel eye) are from Japan. At some point, a group of other con visitors passed me, one of them shouting to her friends: "That was a lolita over there! What a gorgeous dress she had!" As always when hearing a comment like this, I was bursting of joy. I doubt they even realized I was a boy ♥!

Greetings from TOKYO!

Heippa kaikki, täällä taas! Japanin-matkani oli mahtava kokemus, mutta tässä postauksessa kerron vain tyttöilystäni Tokiossa. Asuni oli aika tavallinen, mutta älkää antako sen häiritä.

Hello everybody, I'm back! My trip to Japan was an amazing experience but in this post I will only write about me being girl in Tokyo. The outfit is quite usual but don't let it get into you.

Ensin menin Shibuyaan, jossa oli tietysti pakko ottaa kuva kuuluisan Hachiko-patsaan vieressä.
First I went to Shibuya where I of course had to take a picture with the famous Hachiko statue.

Muutama henkilö halusi ottaa minusta kuvan Shibuyassa, tässä yksi heistä.

Shibuyassa sattui myös yksi  matkan kohokohdista: Japanilainen TV-kanava tuli haastattelemaan minua kysellen japanilaisia suosikkiruokiani! Paniikissa yritin muistella hyvien ruokien nimiä, mutta olin niin hermostunut, että kovin montaa en muistanut. Parhaaksi ruoaksi julistin katsudonburin, vaikken ollut edes varma kyseisen termin olemassaolosta. Mutta ajatella, saatoin päästä kymmenien tai satojen tuhansien japanilaisten nähtäväksi TV:ssä!

In Shibuya I encountered one of the highlights of the trip: a Japanese TV channel came to make an interview with me regarding my Japanese food preferences! I panicked and tried to remember some names of good dishes but I was so nervous that I couldn't come up with many names. I declared the best dish katsudonburi even if I wasn't completely sure of the existence of the term. But come to think of it, tens or hundreds of thousands of Japanese people may have seen me on TV!

Seuraavaksi menin Harajukuun, jonka Bodyline-kaupasta ostin paljon lolitaa. Siitä enemmän seuraavassa postauksessa. Kun olin lähdössä pois Harajukusta, törmäsin cheerleading-tyttöihin, jotka innostuivat suuresti nähdessään minut ja halusivat poseerata kanssani oikein kunnolla!

My next stop was Harajuku where I bought a lot of lolita clothes in a store of Bodyline. More on that in my next post. As I was leaving Harajuku, I bumped into cheerleading girls who got very excited about me and wanted to take a picture with me!

Yllättäin pelihallin työntekijä tuli haastamaan minut rytmipeliin, jota hän oli nähnyt minun pelaavan yksikseni aiemmin.

Suddenly, a worker at the arcade hall challenged me to play the rhythm game she had seen me playing alone earlier.

Henkilön nimi oli Erii, ja aika vierähti aivan huomaamatta hänen kanssa jutellessaan. Pääsin puhumaan japania oikein kunnolla, jes!

The person appeared to be Erii, and time flew by quickly as I talked with her. Great, I got to speak Japanese!

Sitten meninkin jo hostellille. Päivä jäi valitettavasti ainoaksi tyttöilypäiväkseni Tokiossa, koska siinä lämpötilassa (30-34 astetta) ei vain tehnyt mieli pitää kuumia lolitavaatteita ja peruukkia.

After that I went back to my hostel. Unfortunately, this was my only crossdressing day in Tokyo, because in that temperature (30-34 celsius) I just didn't feel like wearing lolita clothes and a wig.

Seuraavassa postauksessa esittelen varmaankin tarkemmin Japanin-ostoksiani. Nyt kuitenkin nukkumaan huomista Traconia varten. Traconissa olen tuttuun tapaan lolitana (ainakin lauantaina), taas saa tulla vetämään hihasta - siis mekosta :D!

Lolita on the go

Viikko sitten sunnuntaina kävin lolitatapahtuma Cremessä tämän näköisenä:

Tapahtumassa sai harrastaa decodeniä! Sain vihdoinkin kännykästäni ihanan tyttömäisen ♥

Tapahtuman jälkeen oli niin pimeää, että kuvan ottamiseen sopiva valaistus löytyi vain Alepasta. Päälläni on Asio Otukselta ostettu ihana villaneule.
After the event it was so dark that the only place with enough lighting could be found in a grocery store. I'm wearing a lovely wool cardigan bought from Asio Otus.

Seuraavana päivänä kävin Serinan, Caramean ja Sairysin kanssa Ouncessa.

The next day I went to the Ounce with Serina, Caramea and Sairys.

Paita ja hame ovat myös uusia, nekin Asio Otukselta.

Olen todella innoissani, koska huomenna lähden pariksi viikoksi JAPANIIN! Aion olla sielläkin lolitana, joten blogimateriaaliakin varmasti kertyy. Aion myös ostaa paaaljon söpöjä vaatteita! Blogi ei siis nyt päivity pariin viikkoon, mutta syyskuun alussa palaillaan!

I'm very excited because tomorrow I'll go to JAPAN for about two weeks! I'm going to wear lolita there, too, so I believe I'll get some blogging material. I'm also going to buy lots and lots of cute clothes! Therefore, there will be a two-week break from updating the blog but I'll be back at the beginning of September!

Leopard girl

Perjantaina sain Rittikseltä pyynnön lähteä kaupungille lauantaina, ja sehän sopi! Paremman tekemisen puutteessa olin kierrellyt vaatekauppoja poikana yksikseni melkein koko viikon, mutta nyt päätin ehdottomasti laittautua tytöksi. Viime kerrasta olikin aikaa jo tarkalleen kaksi viikkoa - aivan liikaa! Halusin vaihteeksi kokeilla arkisempaa lookia, jolla en erottuisi ihan niin paljon massasta. Saatan mennä jopa paremmin läpi tytöstä, kun ihmiset eivät katso minua ihan niin kriittisesti kuin loleillessani. Niinpä olin perjantaina vielä kauppojen sulkemisaikaan ostelemassa melkein paniikinomaisesti vaatekappaleita lauantain asuuni, jonka halusin onnistuvan. Eräässä H&M:ssä oli alennuksessa leopardikuvioinen hame, joka antoikin inspiraation koko asuun...

On Friday Rittis asked me to come and hang with her on Saturday. I gladly accepted! Not having many things to do, I had been shopping alone in the boy form nearly for the whole week but now I absolutely wanted to dress up. Last time I dressed up was exactly two weeks ago - far too long ago! I wanted to try something more casual for a change so I wouldn't stand out from the crowd that much. Maybe I can even pass as a girl more easily when people don't stare me as critically as when I'm wearing lolita. Therefore, as late as the closing time was I still shopping clothes for Saturday's outfit which I wanted to be successful. In a certain H&M there was a skirt with a leopard print for sale, and that skirt gave me inspiration for the whole outfit...

Shoppailukierros oli antoisa, mutta perinteiseen tapaan jalat tulivat sietämättömän kipeiksi kuuden tunnin koroillakävelystä. Ainoa ostokseni oli kiiltoa poistava puuteripaperi, joka on kätevä vaihtoehto puuterin jatkuvalle lisäämiselle. Onnistuneita asukuvia tuli kuitenkin mukavasti, kiitos Rittis!

The shopping tour was an enjoyable one but as usual, my feet really hurt after walking for six hours in high heels. The only thing I bought was powdered paper which is a good alternative to constantly adding powder on your skin. I'm happy we got so many good outfit pictures, thank you Rittis!

One sunny day I went to the Ounce with Ludmilla to have some tea.

Ennen the Ounceen menoa oli kuitenkin asukuvien aika. Käytin ensimmäistä kertaa Sugarycottonilta ostamaani, hänen itse tekemäänsä ihanaa hametta. Kiitos Ludmillalle tämän söpön asennon ehdottamisesta (ja kuvien ottamisesta)!
